CASE STUDY: COVE, SOUTH WEST COAST OF SCOTLAND
This commercial project was started with the scaffolding completed on the 6th October 2023. The scaffolding was delivered, supplied, erected and dismantled by a three man team. It was a long journey but as usual we are here to fulfil our clients’ wishes and needs for scaffolding requirement across Scotland. Our client required scaffolding services to allow safe access for masonry work on a local church building which was also used as the local community centre. The scaffolding was fully boarded on every level with internal access from top to bottom. We used the 7.5t DAF lorry for this one, which was music to our lorry driver’s ears as some of the roads out this way are very tight. The results from Stratum Masonry were great.
CASE STUDY: HIGH STREET, PAISLEY, PA1 2AH
This was another commercial project that required good planning from start to finish with the nearby busy public streets and roads. We had to apply to the local council for an 8-week pavement permit. The work required an early start so that we could deliver the scaffolding to the lay down area and erect to the first tie-in level. It meant we could adjust the base level for public access. We provided signs and barriers for the work area and lay down area to keep both us and the public safe. The job also required tethered tools as it was above a very busy road which we didn’t want to take any chances with. Everything was put in place for masonry work on two elevations. It was fully boarded on every level with internal ladder access. We also supplied and fitted debris netting, including pull test services to the scaffolding ties into the building.
